Ladies' Code coping after the tragedy

Polaris Entertainment has released updates on the condition of Ladies' Code's  surviving members Ashley, Zuny, and Sojung.

On September 23, Polaris told TV Daily, "All three are still receiving treatment at the hospital." As for Sojung, who received the heaviest injuries of the three, the agency revealed, "In Sojung's case, she's hurt a bone in her face, so it looks like it will take a long time for the bone to heal. That's why we don't know when she'll be discharged from the hospital, and she'll be resting at the hospital for now."

It was
reported that Sojung had completed her facial bone fracture surgery and had repaired injuries on September 5th. The surgery was successful and she is now recovering. She had extreme swelling in her face, but has now started to improve in her condition.  It was reported that Sojung, who has not been aware that fellow Ladies’ Code member EunB has passed away, asked why everyone visiting her was dressed in black. Polaris Entertainment has avoided telling her the heartbreaking news, after Sojung’s condition has been unstable since the accident. The clueless Sojung asked on September 4 why everyone visiting her was dressed in black, unaware that EunB’s funeral and wake was being held.

She asked Polaris staff: “Why is everyone coming to visit me all in black?” Dispatch said that Sojung stopped asking, after she realized that there were some tragic news ahead.  Sojung was made aware of the news after she was in a stable enough condition to use her phone. She searched articles on her cellphone and was in great shock at first, and burst into tears, but is slowly coming to terms with the news. Polaris Entertainment decided against telling her about the tragic news, to preserve her well-being for the surgery.

Then again, Sojung was in distress after learning about RiSe’s death.
Ladies’ Code’s RiSe tragically passed away on September 7 at 10:10AM KST, after doctors were unable to save her life. Ashley and Zuny, who are admitted in the same hospital, are comforting Sojung. The three members are relying on each other to overcome this difficult time.”

The three are in deep grief and enduring this hard time together right now. The representative from Polaris revealed that too much attention on this matter will become hurtful to the three members at the moment. He said, "They were hurt very much by this accident. Too much exposure of it on media could hurt them even more. As they are trying to fight this hardship well, I hope you can send them encouragements."

On the other hand,  Zuny and Ashley were also reported to be resting and continuously receiving treatment. They broke down into tears during EunB's  funeral, but they were attended by EunB’s courageous mother who told them she would look after them, despite losing her own daughter.

EunB’s mother said to Ashley and Zuny: “Don’t ever give up. You guys have to continue on for EunB. Ashley, since your mom is not here, I’ll be your Korean mother.”

The three Ladies’ Code members Ashley, Zuny, and Sojung were also present to pay their respects to their much loved friend, Rise.  Sojung was unable to attend EunB’s funeral as she was scheduled for surgery, but she made her way out in a wheelchair for Rise's funeral, despite still being in recovery.

The group were returning to Seoul after a schedule at Daegu, when back tire of the van fell out and ran into a wall, which caused the death of member EunB at 1:30AM last night. She passed away at the scene and Rise after she has been unconscious for four days.

Sojung, Ashley, and Zuny returned to the hospital after RiSe funeral surgery to continue treatment.  Sojung is still in recovery, while Ashley and Zuny, who had minor injuries, are still receiving hospital treatment. Let's hope for the quick recovery of all three ladies.
